Karachi Kings vs Lahore Qalandars Rivalry
Both teams are putting in significant effort for the upcoming PSL 2022, and both are struggling. Karachi-Lahore clash is known as a "heated contest." Both teams are fuelled by the size of their cities.
In the first
season of the PSL in 2016, In the first match between Lahore Qalanders and
Karachi Kings, Karachi Kings won by 7 wickets on February 5, 2016, and the man
of the match was Shakib ul Hassan who ran a 51 score and took 1 wicket. The
second match was also won by Karachi Kings by 27 runs on February 12, 2016, and
the man of the match was Ravi Bopara. He runs 71 scores and takes 6 wickets.
In the 2016 Pakistan Super League, Shoaib Malik led the Karachi Kings and Azhar Ali led the Lahore Qalanders. In the second PSL season of 2017, Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalanders both won against each other in their first match on February 16, 2017.
Lahore Qalanders also won by 7 runs and the Man of
the Match was Fakhar Zaman. On February 25, 2017, he scored 56 runs in the
second match, which was won by Karachi Kings by 5 wickets, and the Man of the
Match was Kieron Pollard, who scored 45 runs.
In the third season of PSL 2018, Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars won by 27 runs. The man of the match was Shahid Afridi, who took 3 wickets in the first match. The match was won by Lahore Qalanders by 3 runs. The man of the match was Agha Salman, who scored 50 runs. The amazing thing about this match is that it ends in a super over.
The Lahore Qalandars make a
good effort and win this match. In Season 4th PSL 2019, Karachi Kings and
Lahore Qalandars were both well-built teams, but Qalanders gave their all and
won by 22 runs. Haris Rauf performed well in bowling, taking 4 wickets in the
second match. Both teams performed well, but at the end of the over, this
victory went to Karachi Kings. The man of the match showed his full
responsibility in this match, scoring 33 runs and taking 2 wickets.
In the fifth season, both teams fight for victory. Initially, the Karachi Kings wash the bowlers of the Qalanders. It appears that this match is in the hands of the Karachi Kings, but the Qalanders play this match like a war, and Ben Dunk hits 12 sixes, runs 99 runs in 40 balls, and becomes a man of the match.
Babar Azam was the man of the match, scoring 63 runs for his team. The Qalandars won the first man by 6 wickets in the sixth edition of the PSL 2021. Shaheen Afridi was the man of the match, taking 3 wickets, and the second match was won by Karachi Kings by 7 runs. Noor Ahmed was the match of the match, taking 2 wickets. Both teams have played on 13 occasions against each other, and the Karachi Kings have won 8 games out of 13 games.
As we saw above, the Karachi
Kings are the luckiest team. They play well and get success. Now we await the
7th edition of the PSL to see who will perform to the best of their abilities.
